CORE serves as the orientation and foundation for each technical studies specialization. Topics addressed include introductions to Safety, Construction Math, Hand Tools, Power Tools, Construction Drawings, Communication Skills, Employability Skills, and Material Handling. This course serves as a prerequisite to most Non-Credit Technical Studies courses, and can be taken concurrently with any Level-1 Technical Studies course.

Students who register for this class will have until 11:59pm, September 30, 2026 to complete all coursework.

By submitting any video recordings as part of this course, you acknowledge that you are solely responsible for creating and submitting recordings demonstrating required competencies and you consent to Liberty University (“Liberty”) receiving, accessing, reviewing, and using such recordings for instructional, grading, evaluation, quality assurance, accreditation, and program improvement purposes in accordance with Liberty’s applicable policies.
