CourseGraphic Foundations of Welding is a practical course combining lecture and hands-on instruction. Topics addressed include: Welding Safety, Oxyfuel Cutting, Plasma Arc Cutting, Air Carbon Arc Cutting and Gouging, Base Metal Preparation, Weld Quality, SMAW - Equipment and Setup, Shielded Metal Arc Electrodes, and SMAW - Beads and Fillet Welds.
*Before registering for any of Liberty’s Non-Credit Technical Studies courses, you must obtain your NCCER card number. If you do not have an NCCER card, you may go to NCCER.org and create an account to get your number.
*Students must have either completed the CORE course prior to enrolling in this Level 1 course or be enrolled in the CORE course for the same semester as this Level 1 course, in order to enroll in this Level 1 course.
