Identifying Political Influences

CourseGraphic The Identifying Political Influences course is an introductory course designed to introduce current and future public servants to how to understand and identify how political influences can impact the budgeting process. Upon completion of the course, the student should be able to identify the major political influences on budgeting, including multiple practices of various budget models and how politics can be a minor or major influence on the direction of government budgeting.                                                                      

This course requires between 8-10 hours of study.   

Module 1: Contestation in Participatory Budgeting                                                                                                            
Module 2: Election Influences on Budgeting                                                                                                           
Module 3: The Politics of Mega-Events
