For nursing students only.
*Junior and Senior Nursing students whose CPR expires before December 21, 2025, are recommended to get recertified.
To receive the Heartcode BLS recertification, you must complete an online class through the American Heart Association (AHA) and a residential LU instructor-led skills check-off.
The online portion can be found on the
AHA website and costs $36.
Remember to bring a copy of your online completion certification to the skills check-off. You will need to be in
full clinical dress or the gray polo with blue scrub bottoms for the class.
Students bring the CPR facemask from your supply bag you received in N210.
After completing the online course and skills check-off, you will receive a HeartCode BLS certification valid for two years.
If you have any questions about the Heartcode class, please reach out to Professor Lisa Foote (
