CORE serves as the orientation and foundation for each technical studies specialization. Topics addressed include introductions to Safety, Construction Math, Hand Tools, Power Tools, Construction Drawings, Communication Skills, Employability Skills, and Material Handling. This course serves as a prerequisite to most Non-Credit Technical Studies courses, and can be taken concurrently with any Level-1 Technical Studies course.
*Before registering for any Trades courses through the Liberty Training Institute, you must obtain your NCCER card number. If you do not have an NCCER card, you may go to NCCER.org and create an account to get your number.

**Hybrid Format**
All bookwork and quizzes will be completed online via Liberty University's Canvas learning management system.
In addition to completing the online portion of the course, each student will need to complete a practical skills assessment at an approved training facility.

It is recommended that students reach out to an approved training facility as soon as possible to schedule their practical skills assessment.
