Intersection of Personal and Professional: Ethical and Legal Responsibilities with Non-Clients

CourseGraphic This one-hour course explores the challenges and limitations of reporting laws regarding abuse and neglect of minors, including the difference between mandatory and permissive requirements. Various rationales for and against reporting a child abuse/neglect situation for which no direct information is known are analyzed, and participants will select and utilize an ethical decision-making process to determine a counselor's responsibility to report a situation of which they have no direct knowledge or identifiable information.   

Those who successfully complete the course will receive a completion certificate for 0.1 Continuing Education Credit.
